What a penny deal is

Deal hunters use “penny deals” for items that scan at $0.01, usually products a store is about to remove from its shelves. They aren’t advertised, tend to disappear quickly, and stores aren’t obliged to sell them. Staff may pull or refuse them, so bring patience and politeness.

Where Deal Soldier fits

Deal Soldier says its SniperX tool includes a “Penny Live” feature meant to give members a head start on Home Depot penny items, and it offers a free penny guide on its official site. We haven’t tested these features ourselves.

Good to know: Deal Soldier helps you find clearance and penny items; it can’t guarantee you’ll get them. Stock changes fast, stores may pull items or decline a sale, and each retailer’s own terms apply. Reselling involves costs, time and risk, and no savings or income are guaranteed. 7-day free trial, then $44/month. The trial renews automatically unless you cancel before it ends.
